Spirit Signal Gorewear jersey test
The jersey is the centerpiece of any cycling outfit: you choose it as much for its looks as for its comfort. I tested Gorewear's Spirit Signal model, attracted by its graphic design. Here's my feedback after a few dozen kilometers.

Gorewear is a German brand specializing in technical clothing for outdoor sports, particularly cycling and running. It is part of the W. L. Gore & Associates group, known for developing the famous Gore-Tex waterproof/breathable membrane. Gorewear designs top-of-the-range, high-performance equipment with a focus on technical features, durability and comfort.
Our full test of the Gorewear Spirit Signal jersey
The Spirit Signal jersey from Gorewear is a modern-style jersey with graphic and colorful patterns (depending on the color you choose!). It remains sober, but adds just the right amount of whimsy for a change from plain jerseys. Everything I love: a perfect balance between sobriety and originality.
The fit is snug and close to the body when you take your usual size. For this jersey, I deliberately chose to go up a size to test a looser fit often found in cycling. The result: the jersey stays snug, doesn’t float and feels comfortable.
During my cycling outings, I appreciated the fabric’s lightness and breathability. Even at 23°C/25°C, the jersey wicks perspiration very well and remains comfortable. I haven’t yet had a chance to test it in hot summer weather, but it’s already ideal for spring or early summer conditions.
The jersey is also very comfortable to wear, with its stretch fabric allowing good freedom of movement. In terms of length, it’s not too short and doesn’t ride up, which is not insignificant given that you don’t need to put it back on when pedaling.
When it comes to practicality, Gore Wear has thought of the details that we appreciate on jerseys:
- The 3 large pockets on the back of the jersey for your smartphone or food;
- Additional small zipped pocket for keys or credit cards
- Silicone band at lower back for secure fit
Conclusion
The Spirit Signal from Gore Wear is a technical, comfortable and visually elegant jersey for regular cyclists. It’s easy to wear for all types of outings, whether sporty or leisurely.
